I am honored and humbled to represent our great city as mayor. I am looking forward to working with residents, businesses, and city staff for the betterment of Tualatin and its residents.

I want to thank Lou Ogden for his outstanding service and his leadership as mayor. He led this city well and left some big shoes to fill. Lou, thank you for all you did to make this a terrific city.

Mayor Frank Bubenik.

I look forward to working with our new city councilors Bridget Brooks and Maria Reyes. Both will bring valuable experience and insight to the council. In January the council and city staff will spend several days reviewing our goals and defining our priorities for the next two years.

I am committed to the safety of all our varied neighborhoods, I understand the economics of a well-run city, and am dedicated to the well-being of all our citizens. I will work hard to improve transportation, manage the city’s growth, maintain our source of clean drinking water while exploring alternative sources that may be needed in emergencies, address the regional housing crisis, and improve our parks and natural spaces, but the most important thing I can do as mayor is to always listen to the concerns and/or suggestions residents bring forward as I believe it assists me on making informed decisions. I will be scheduling listening sessions quarterly so that residents can meet with me informally and let me know their concerns. Tualatin prospers when the whole community is involved in the decisions that affect our lives and families.

In the future this corner will feature pieces from all of the council members, not just myself. I think it is important that residents hear from all their elected officials, not just the mayor.

I am wishing every day of the New Year to be filled with success, happiness, and prosperity for you. Happy New Year.
