Generations of Bushbaum, Malsam, Raicy and Payne Families Go Back to Tualatin’s Beginnings

Posted on August 19, 2015 at 6:28 am

A lively extended family group recently gathered in the Tualatin Heritage Center and reminisced about their families. All the folks used
to live along Borland and Wilke Road on the east end of the City. Lots of laughter as stories were told about the old days: raiding a neighbor’s watermelon patch, chivarees, and home made hooch during prohibition.

  1. Sure wish I could have made it to the Heritage Center the other week. My father was Raymond A. Payne son of Robert Payne. My dad’s brother was Marion Payne. My dad’s sisters were Lorraine (Denley) and Etta (MacDonald) Lots of memories of living on Borland Road. I am now 72 years old and live in the country out in the Helvetia area near Hillsboro.
