Tualatin Fire History

Tualatin Rural Fire Protection District firefighters, family descendants of the first Tualatin fire chief William Barngrover and other descendants of Tualatin fire fighters have been reconstructing
the history of the City of Tualatin Fire Department and the Tualatin Rural Fire Protection District

The two agencies provided local fire protection and life safety services from 1937-1989 before merging with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue District (TVF&R).

  1. I’m not sure but I think my grandfather Roy Sagert was a member/volunteer of the Tualatin fire station. His mother had farm property in Tualatin.

  2. Perhaps my grandmother his wife Margaret (Vianne?) grew up in Tualatin as well.
