There are two old friends that I always visit when in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Think I’ve had more trips to DC over the years
than most people; with an annual conference at IRS national headquarters while working for that agency, and a requirement to do two weeks active duty training in the Pentagon every four years throughout my 30 years in the Naval Reserve. At first, I was emotionally reluctant to look them up but figured out how to get to where they are. It was on my third trip to DC when I was able to pull myself together to visit them. I do not know where they are buried but their names are inscribed on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall.
