Did you know that getting out and socializing is one of the most effective ways to improve mental health? Socialization has been shown to improve cognition, mood, memory, sense of belonging, self-esteem and more! And we want you to get out with us this summer!

Join us for enrichment programs to get your brain active! This summer’s educational programs include Active Living Every Day (a 12-week evidence-based program specifically designed to help older adults become more physically active and ultimately maintain a physically active lifestyle), Conversations on Aging (including topics such as living solo as a senior, adult children, and forgetfulness), Lunch & Learns (including topics such as legacy planning, emergency preparedness, and home health), and more!

Ready to make friends and get moving? Join a group fitness class – there’s something for everyone! Exercise programs include Gentle Yoga, Yang-Style Tai Chi, Line Dancing, Tai Chi for Arthritis, SilverSneakers Classic, Silver&Fit Signature Series Excel and NEW Chair Yoga (get out and enjoy the sunshine – this program takes place outside!). 

Take an adventure and make new friends with us! Active adult day trips this summer include Dinner at the Oregon Coast, the Oregon Garden, Kayaking on the Tualatin River, Corner 14 Food Carts, a downtown Portland Donut Tour and more! Or go even further with one of our regional excursions to Fort Nisqually Living Museum or whitewater rafting on the McKenzie River!
