A retelling of the classic Greek myth, Hadestown: Teen Edition follows Orpheus as he journeys to the underworld to save his love, Eurydice, from the clutches of Hades. Set to a thrilling, jazz-infused score, this inspiring story of love, courage, and hope proves that even in the darkest places, music can light the way. Performed by the Broadway Rose Teen Summer Camp participants.
Director Trevor Hennigan reflects on his favorite part about Broadway Rose teen camp, “It’s the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and dedicated theatre students from around the state. They bring such focus and passion, and I think the Broadway Rose audiences are going to be blown away by this year’s group of storytellers as they take us on a journey to the Underground. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience!”
The performances are put together in an intensive three-week training workshop, designed for young performers who are serious about pursuing musical theatre in high school, college, or professionally. The participating students will focus on building real-world experience in a professional setting while staging a full-scale musical.
