Postpartum Support Group

Make paper creations with the Portland Oregon Paper Shapers! Challenge yourself with a complex origami masterpiece, or keep it simple while learning the basics.

Taphouse Trivia

Join librarian Doug at Stickmen Brewing (19475 SW 118th Ave STE 1, Tualatin, OR 97062) on the Tuesday the 24th for several rounds of trivia! Enjoy fabulous drinks and pizza, as well as prizes for the winners! For adults.

Teen Hang Out

Fridays, at 6:00 pm (No Teen Hang Out on November 17 or 24)

Get out of the house! Hang out with your friends! Games, crafts, and more! Bring money to purchase soda and candy. For grades 6-12. Held in the Teen Room

Super Smash Tourney

Teens, prove your prowess at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Compete against other players and see who comes out on top! Prizes for the top 3 Brawlers, all equipment provided.

Dia de los Muertos

Join us for a celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Come celebrate Day of the Dead with the community! We will have crafts, pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread), and face painting! Music and good times will be had! For all ages. Held in the Community Room.

Scare-aoke

Sunday, October 29 at 2:00 pm

We’re bringing back karaoke for the spooky season! Share and sing your favorite spine-chilling tunes. Whether it’s a monstrous mash, a thrilling experience, or a ghostly garage band classic, come and join the fun. Costumes encouraged. For all ages. Held in the Community Room.

Halloween Dance’o’Rama

Tuesday, October 31 at 10:30 am

Celebrate Halloween at this action-packed dance fest for children ages 0-6. We’ll lead kids in some of our favorite dance songs, trick or treat around the library, and have fun sensory stations in the Children’s Room

Dinovember: Detect the Dinos

All November long at Tualatin Public Library

The library will run a dinosaur scavenger hunt throughout November. Stop by the Information Desk for your Dinosaur Tracker, and explore the children’s area to spot all the dinos. If you find them all, you get your very own dinosaur!

Friends of the Tualatin Public Library Book Sale

Friday, November 3 at 2:00 pm

Book lovers, find your next treasure at the Friends of Tualatin Library’s semi-annual sale. Open Friday, 3:00-6:00 pm with a special members-only hour from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, and open Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Find books for all ages, music CDs, DVDs, and a few special items. Special $5 bag sale for the last hour! Purchases support library programs.

Portland Opera Presents: Cinderella

Portland Opera to Go will present a kid-friendly staging of Rossini’s Cinderella. 50 minutes of lively and comedic operatic joy, the perfect first opera for kids and adults alike! Held in the Community Room.

Breakerspace

Ever wonder what the inside of a laptop looks like? Want to know what makes a robot tick? Team up with other curious kids as we use tools to take apart various items to discover what technology looks like on the inside. Only for kids in Grades K-5. Kids in grades K-2 may participate but must have close adult supervision due to use of sharp tools and parts. Registration is recommended. Register online 

Make Your Own Plushie

Friday, November 10 at 2:00 pm

Making your own plushie is fun and easy! Learn basic hand sewing skills to create a fun critter of your own. All supplies are provided.

For students in grades 6-12. Registration is required. Held in the Makerspace.

College Basics with Portland Community College

Gain valuable insights into our programs and resources available to help you achieve your goals. Don’t miss this opportunity to take the first step towards your future.

During the presentation, you will:

  • Learn about ways to pay for college including financial aid and scholarship opportunities
  • And other considerations for adults going to college (transferring prior credits, reverse transfer options, additional support and resources)

Dinovember: Deduce the Dinos

From November 13 – November 26, our Lobby Display Case will be overrun by dinosaurs. You need to count them! Enter your guess at the Information Desk. The closest guess will win a fabulous dinosaur prize! Part of Dinovember.

A Will is Not Enough

Tuesday, November 14 at 6:00 pm

Many people do not realize that more is needed than just a simple will. In this program, the audience will receive practical advice on how to safeguard their assets and health care wishes during and after their lifetime. They will also acquire up to date knowledge about wills, living trusts, health care documents, issues regarding guardianship, conservatorship, and power of attorney. This program also gives information on how to avoid probate and what to do when family complications arise.

This is an online program held using Zoom. Registration is required. Directions on how to join the Zoom session will be sent out before the program begins.

Teen Dinovember

Dinovember is here! Celebrate the season of dinos with trivia, a scavenger hunt, and a special dino craft!
