11/26/1941 – 12/2/2025
Michael Dewey Davis passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon, on December 2, 2025, with his wife and son by his side.
Born in Los Angeles, Michael overcame significant challenges early in life, surviving a severe case of childhood polio and the loss of his father, Capt. William Dewey Davis, in WWII when Michael was just three. These experiences instilled in him a quiet strength. After spending two years at Mt. Angel Seminary, he chose to pursue a life of family and community, eventually earning his Bachelor of Science from Portland State College.
Michael raised his four children at Wauna Lake in Stevenson, Washington, where he was an active community leader, serving as manager of the Wauna Lake Club and President of the Skamania County Community Center. He later moved to Beaverton, where he operated Construction Company.
For the last 26 years, Michael lived in Tualatin, Oregon, with his wife, Donna Waltz, whom he married in 1995. He was a familiar and dedicated face at Home Depot, where he worked for over two decades.
Above all, Michael cherished his family. He embraced every member of his blended family with love, including his twenty-two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna; children Patrick, Brandon, Courtney, and Whitney; step-children Austin, Alisa, and Tara; brothers Joe, Paul, and Tom Frankus; and sisters Mary Hughes and Connie Shorr. He joins his sister, Susan (Mourningstar), in rest.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on March 7th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., in the East Room of the Juanita Pohl Center. (8513 SW Tualatin Road, Tualatin)
