The Tualatin 4th grade girls’ basketball team finished third in state, after a strong season in which they outscored opponents 925-712.

The team went 3-1 in the 2023 Oregon Middle School Basketball Championship last month in Redmond, defeating Wilsonville 20-9, Knappa 32-4, and Happy Valley Black 23-19 in the quarter-final. The team’s sole defeat was a 28-32 loss to Regis St. Mary.

On the way to the State Championship tournament, the girls finished second in The Hoop Source Tip-Off Classic, The Superbowl Saturday, and The President’s Day Classic tournaments, and came home with the gold at The Tigard Tip-Off.
