Get out and explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with our fresh lineup of day trips offering opportunities to experience everything the season has to offer. Enjoy a relaxing meal at The Deck, one of Portland’s most unique restaurants floating on the Columbia River; discover the remarkable fungi of our area at the Mt. Pisgah Mushroom Festival; learn about the history of our area at the Willamette Heritage Center, or embrace the spooky season on a haunted walking tour.

Learn something new with us at one of our lifelong learning programs! Highlights of the fall season include beginner-friendly ukulele lessons on Friday mornings, heart-healthy nutrition demonstrations at Foods for a Healthy Heart, sessions on body changes that come with menopause, and much more! Want to learn more about the world around us? Join us for Earthwise Crew for Southern Africa: Wildlife and Wild Places or get outside at our first-ever Owl Prowl in the park! Feeling creative? Try out our new class on puzzle making or join us to learn how to make your own unique mobile.

Don’t forget to join us for one of the many special events coming up this fall at the Juanita Pohl Center – starting with our AI Symposium featuring lectures from Mike Lannen, founder of AI education firm, Eternity, followed by our first ever Eye & Ear Health Fair in honor of National Audiology Awareness and National Eye Health Months, and finally join us in honoring those who severed our country at our annual Veterans Recognition Breakfast, taking place at 9 a.m. on November 10 this year.
