Active adult day trips foster connection, encourage physical activity, boost cognitive and social function, improve mood and most importantly are great fun! Join us as we explore the beauty of the Columbia Gorge along the Hood River Fruit Loop, root for one of Portland’s newest professional sports teams, the AUSL Cascade, forage for natural delicacies along the coastal range, discover unique shops around Portland and much more.
Ready for a bigger adventure? Join us for a three-day, two-night trip to Kah-Nee-Tah Hot Springs Resort! Relax by the pool, learn about the rich and colorful cultures that make up the Confederated Tribes of The Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon at the Museum at Warm Springs, take a thrilling river tube adventure and more on our first-ever multi-night trip. Looking for a fun way to stay active this summer? The Juanita Pohl Center has you covered with a lively lineup of wellness & longevity classes designed especially for active older adults. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve balance, or just enjoy moving to great music, there’s something for everyone!
New this summer is Low-Impact Cardio Dance! Shake up your routine and have fun moving in this low-impact cardio dance class for all fitness levels. Enjoy easy-to-follow steps, great music, and a supportive group while boosting your energy, strength, and heart health. The class will be held on Wednesdays (ongoing), from 9:45-10:30am, starting June 3rd. First two classes are FREE – June 3rd & 10th!

Other wellness & longevity classes include Mat Pilates, Gentle Somatic Yoga, Line Dance, Zumba, and Tai Chi. Tai Chi is an art embracing the mind, body and spirit. On a physical level, Tai Chi improves strength, flexibility, aerobic conditioning and balance. “We love the Pohl Center Tai Chi classes!
