A fundraiser to support Meals On Wheels People – Tualatin
Marquis Companies Tualatin Campus is excited to announce the date for their fifth annual car show and barbeque. The event this year will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. It will include a barbeque, live band, raffle, and awards. A hamburger meal will cost $7.50, a brat meal, $7 and a hotdog meal, $5. The event will be free and open to the public. All proceeds will go to Meals on Wheels People, located in the Juanita Pohl Center.
They will be featuring local classic and exotic cars and have begun accepting entries. There is no cost to register your vehicle. If you have a car to display, please email Julie to register: TheCommunity@marquiscompanies.com or stop by the new Marquis community center for a registration form. Show cars can start arriving at 3:00 p.m. the day of the show to get a prime spot on the lot.
The car show continues to grow each year and has become a community tradition. The event attracts folks from all over the state and delights the residents living on the Marquis campus. The event raised over $3,000 for our local Meals on Wheels People to support their vision that “No senior will go hungry or experience social isolation.” This year they hope to double that amount.
The Marquis Tualatin campus offers post-acute rehab, long-term care, assisted living, and independent living cottages. They are in the final stages of construction on their cottages. The car show marks the eight-year anniversary of the post-acute and assisted living, as well as the fifth-year anniversary of their community center, which is open to the public and features a wine and coffee bar, pool and fitness center (with public memberships for 55+) and rentable venue space. They are located at 19945 SW Boones Ferry Rd. Tualatin, OR 97062.

They provide hot noon meals to seniors in neighborhood dining rooms throughout the greater metropolitan area and deliver Meals-On-Wheels to homebound seniors.
