A hands-on workshop for anyone needing first aid certification/recertification or wanting to be ready for an emergency will be held on Saturday, August 14, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at Tualatin’s Winona Grange. Space is limited to 24 adults.
Participants will learn what to do if a person is having a cardiac arrest, including CPR and using an AED; how to administer Narcan; how to handle shock; ways to control bleeding; responses to poisoning, both ingested and inhaled; assisting someone with head, neck or back injuries; and responses to heat and cold emergencies.
