Tualatin 2030 Vision
I want to take a moment to recognize that change can cause uncertainty. Uncertainty may lead to fear and anxiety. During this period of transition, it is imperative to remind ourselves who we are and what we stand for.
Each year, the City Council meets with the Tualatin Executive Management Team to define our vision for Tualatin. The Tualatin 2030 Vision describes the Council’s desired future state for the city. Our vision guides prioritization, policy-making, and the work of city staff. The Tualatin City Council will remain steadfast in our commitment to uphold our 2030 vision.
In the spirit of reminding ourselves who we are and what we stand for, I wanted to share a summary of the Tualatin City Council’s 2030 Vision:
The Tualatin City Council strives to cultivate a caring and inclusive community that promotes equity, diversity, belonging and access in creating a meaningful quality of life for everyone. We prioritize safe and accessible gathering places throughout the city that build and celebrate our whole community. We focus on creating a connected, informed, and civically engaged community that embraces our city’s diversity. We focus on safe and welcoming neighborhoods for all.
This vision and these values are deeply rooted in the City of Tualatin. These sentiments guide the direction of the Council and the decisions we make.
If you are interested in assisting the Tualatin City Council in achieving our 2030 vision to become a more inclusive community that promotes equity, diversity and access, I invite you to apply for the I.D.E.A. Advisory Committee. The committee focuses on advocating for underserved populations, identifying opportunities, and recommending goals and methods to measure progress. There are currently openings for adult and student positions.
