The Tigard-Tualatin School District on July 7 said it is investigating anonymous reports of alleged sexual harassment and assault experienced by current and former district students in school buildings.

The allegations appear on “recently created social media accounts,” the district said in a statement, adding that, “These allegations are very serious, and in accordance with state law and district policy require investigation.”

Once complete, the investigation findings will be shared with the school board, the district said, and, “We are also following up with all of the identified students and their families.”

The district said that the abuse allegations were posted to two Instagram accounts:
@tigardtualatinclowns, which appears to have been taken down, and @nsrc.official, which describes itself as “a group of prior and current students fighting to reform the education system as an organized force.”

Anyone with new or additional information relative to allegations of sexual harassment or abuse involving TTSD students or staff should contact Debbie Ebert, TTSD Director of Human Resources at debert@ttsd.k12.or.us or 503.431.4013.

“We strongly encourage all students, regardless of the forum they choose, to speak out about abuse,” the district said. “While TTSD offers multiple avenues for students to safely report abuses, if for any reason there is a lack of trust in our staff or systems, we strongly advise students to report abuses through the Safe Oregon school safety tip line.”
