Summer Reading Continues at Tualatin Public Library

Summer Reading is going strong at Tualatin Public Library! If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still plenty of time. Kids and teens receive a free book when they sign up, as well as when they turn in their first log. Anyone who finishes gets entered into a chance to win one of four fabulous prizes, including $200 gift certificates to Barnes & Noble or Powell’s. And don’t forget to keep reading for more chances to win!

Teen Arms Video Game Tournament

Thursday, July 18, 2:00 – 3:30 pm

Gear up, gamers! It’s time to show off your skills in the electrifying world of Arms on Nintendo Switch! Test your reflexes, strategy, and mastery of motion-controlled combat. Win epic prizes and bragging rights as the champion of the tournament! Open to teens of all skill levels. Free snacks for all. For teens in grades 6-12. PJ Storytime

Wednesday, July 17 through July 31, 5:30 – 6:30 pm

Bring your little ones in their coziest pajamas for Pajama Storytime, the perfect way to wind down and enjoy the magic of storytime at the library. Our Teen Volunteers share stories and songs, then finish with a simple craft project for the little ones. Whether you’re looking for a special nighttime routine or just a fun evening out, Pajama Storytime is the ideal family event. All ages.

Science Spectacular

Calling all young scientists! Join us for a summer of discovery and exploration under the sun. Get ready to participate in mind-blowing experiments and hands-on activities that will ignite your curiosity and inspire your inner scientist. Discovery awaits!

Origami

Saturday, July 20, 12:00 to 3:00 pm

Make folded paper creations with the Portland Oregon Paper Shapers! Challenge yourself with a complex origami masterpiece, or keep it simple while learning the basics. For all ages. Held in the Community Room.

Music at the Hearth: Kerry Politzer Trio

Sunday, July 21, 2:00 – 3:00 pm

An afternoon of Brazilian jazz awaits with pianist Kerry Politzer, bassist Bill Athens and drummer Brent Follis. Kerry Politzer is a Portland-based jazz pianist, composer, and educator. She is on the music faculty of Portland State University, and she has also taught at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Swing University, the University of Portland, and the University of Manitoba. For all ages. Held at the library hearth.

Stories in the Park

Taphouse Trivia

Tuesday, July 30, 6:00 pm

Join Librarian Doug at Stickmen Brewing (19475 SW 118th Ave STE 1, Tualatin, OR 97062) every final Tuesday of the month for several rounds of trivia! Enjoy fabulous drinks and pizza, as well as prizes for the winners!
