2010 was the start of the annual scholarship to an outstanding student from Tualatin High School. Students must be planning to attend an Oregon University or accredited community college with the goal of completing a degree.

Our first recipient was Nathan Andrews.  His scholarship of $2,000 helped him on his road to becoming Dr. Nathan Andrews.  Since then, nine more seniors have been added to our list of recipients for the THS Scholarship.

The Tualatin Historical Society awarded their tenth scholarship to Madison McDonald in the class of 2020 from Tualatin High School for $3000.

She is going to U of O and studying political science.

To honor Jack Broome, a long time Tualatin THS member, we have named the scholarship in his honor. Jack suggested that THS members establish a fund for Tualatin students. The members embraced Jack’s idea and as of 2020 have given $24,000 in scholarships.

The Tualatin Historical Society offers this scholarship as a way of serving the youth of our community.
