Tualatin’s annual Bulky Waste Day is on Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Republic Services in Wilsonville (10295 SW Ridder Rd, Wilsonville, OR 97070).
Bulky waste items are typically too large or heavy to go in your regular curbside bins. Please remember to donate large items (like furniture) that are in good condition whenever possible (Community Warehouse, Goodwill, etc.).
Yes! Residents of Tualatin may bring items such as appliances without Freon, furniture, mattresses, electronics, and other large items that can’t fit in your curbside bins.
No! Please do not bring any hazardous waste, yard debris, commercial construction, remodeling or demolition material, household waste or recycling that would usually go into a curbside bin or apartment dumpster (i.e., bagged trash).
This is a free event for Tualatin Residents. The entrance “fee” is a non-perishable donation for the Tualatin Food Pantry. Currently, the Pantry’s most urgent needs include full-sized personal hygiene items (not travel-sized), cold cereal, canned pasta/quick meals, dry pet food, canned tuna, spaghetti sauce, etc. Bulk donations are fine (i.e., a large bag of dry pet food or a large bag of rice). Please do not bring items that are expired or already opened/partially used.
Republic Services does have a free Recycling Depot for cardboard, metal, and electronics that is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as during Bulky Waste Day.
