Riverpark Community Concerns: LAM Expansion and Traffic
The Riverpark Community Involvement Organization (CIO) has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, November 19th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at Tualatin City Services Building at 10699 Herman Road. While a previously held developer meeting only included neighbors within 1,000 feet of LAM, the CIO will host this meeting to include all Riverpark residents.
As President of the CIO, I attended the developer’s meeting in June. Those in attendance were most concerned about a plan to add a parking lot, with business and employee entrance and exit onto Tualatin Road. The community voiced their opinion that all traffic generated should use SW Leveton Drive for access to LAM. The proposed addition of a traffic light at 115th was viewed as creating increased traffic throughout the Riverpark neighborhood.
Past annual meetings have included presentations from various speakers. This meeting will only focus on the topics of the expansion planning and transportation concerns specific to Tualatin Road. Our Community Development Department will present information, and citizens can ask questions and comment on their concerns.
