On June 1, 2026, I was elevated to the position of Provisional CEO of the Tualatin Area Chamber of Commerce. I am honored to step into this role and, more importantly, excited about where we are going. I believe a Chamber should be more than an organization you belong to. It should be a resource you use, a connection you can count on, and an advocate for your business.
Our focus is clear: growth, engagement, advocacy, and delivering real value to our members.
One initiative I am especially excited about is bringing a Chamber Healthcare Plan to our members beginning in September. Healthcare is a significant challenge for many businesses, especially small businesses, and providing access to valuable resources like this is exactly what I believe your Chamber should be doing.
This is just the beginning. We will continue looking for new benefits, partnerships, educational opportunities, business connections, and ways to increase the visibility of our members. We will also strengthen our advocacy efforts to ensure Tualatin businesses have a voice in the conversations and decisions that affect them.
Strong Leadership, Shared Vision
Our work is made possible by an incredible group of volunteer leaders. Our 2026 leadership includes Board Chair, Brian Carney, Tualatin Auto Body; Treasurer, Akimi Murata-Chambers, Lakeside Lumber; Secretary, Darrell Nelson, NW Natural; and Past Chairs, Skip Stanaway, A&I Distributors; Susan Noack, Tualatin Aging Task Force; and Ex-Officio, Tualatin Mayor Frank Bubenik and our dedicated Board of Directors.
Our committees are also led by dedicated members, including Susan Noack and Nina Carlson, Business Advocacy Council; Ryan Myers and Tualatin City Councilor, Bridget Brooks, Titanium Alliance; Bill Cohen and Selena English, Health & Wellness; and Kristin Bauer and Liz Gleim, Ambassador Committee.
I am also excited to welcome Emily Messerly as our new Office Coordinator, who will help us provide the responsive and welcoming service our members deserve.
