Preparations are underway for the 2026 West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ahead of next month’s festivities, the City of Tualatin has officially unveiled the event’s annual theme and commemorative poster.
Designed by local Tualatin artist Brenna White, the 2026 artwork centers on the theme “Tattoo Couture – Fortune Favors the Brave!”
According to city organizers, this year’s visual concept blends bold tattoo artistry and classic symbolism with an element of mystery. The poster prominently features the return of the regatta’s jester figure, surrounded by motifs including ravens, serpents, and black cats, playing on the idea of stacked decks and fortune favoring daring competitors on the water.
The signature Pacific Northwest autumn event draws thousands to Tualatin Commons each October to watch costumed paddlers pilot hollowed-out, thousand-pound gourds across the lake.
