A group of Riverpark residents living along Tualatin Road in Tualatin are voicing their opposition to a proposed roadway entrance that would provide access to a planned expansion of a Lam Research manufacturing site. The expansion is expected to add thousands of vehicles to the area each day, with 70% of that traffic projected to utilize a new entrance on Tualatin Road.

Opponents of the plan argue that Leveton Drive – an existing alternate roadway – is already designed to handle heavy vehicle traffic and has significantly lower existing traffic volume. They say the proposed roadway entrance is incompatible with existing traffic patterns and land use in the area.

In addition to traffic concerns, residents are also expressing concerns about noise, light, and aesthetic impacts from the project. They are seeking to prevent the construction of the proposed roadway entrance.
