The stage is set, the brews are confirmed, and the final details are falling into place for the 2nd Annual Tualatin Winter Brew Festival – an event that drew more than 1000 attendees from across the greater Portland Metro Area last January and immediately generated buzz and excitement in the community and among craft brewers. If early ticket sales are any indication, this excitement has continued, and the 2019 Brew Festival is eagerly anticipated.

Working together with Stickmen Brewing and presenting sponsor Riverview Community Bank, the Tualatin High School PackBackers are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event even bigger and better. In addition to the 20+ seasonal brews on tap and a full line-up of live entertainment, a highlight this year will be the new “Cellar” area where attendees will get to sample premium barrel-aged ales and ciders, and wines. Cellar sponsor Fred Meyer will also be offering cheese pairings to compliment the premium brews. Great food from four local restaurants, plus a fantastic selection of raffle prizes will round out the fun event; all for a good cause!

The brew festival is a major fundraiser for the PackBackers, Tualatin High School’s athletic booster club, with proceeds supporting TuHS sports facilities and athletic programs, as well as dance, cheer and band. More than 1,200 Tualatin students participate in these programs and funding is always a concern, which is why the Packbackers exist. “An event like this is a great opportunity to bring the community together in a fun way, highlight the great things happening at our local high school, and raise money to make sure these programs continue the way they should”, says Ed Farah, current PackBacker Board President and proud parent of a student athlete. The board is made up of a small army of parent volunteers whose fundraising efforts have amounted to thousands of dollars contributed each year. Last year’s brew festival was their biggest fundraiser to date.

Additional sponsors for the event include Republic Services, 3 J’s Landscape Maintenance, Summerwood Family Dental, Cindy Robert RainMakers, Pacific West Roofing, Gallagher Auto Spa, Great Northwest Gutters and Club Pilates of Sherwood/Tualatin.

The Tualatin Winter Brew Festival will be on Saturday, January 26th, from 12 noon to 9 pm, at the Stickmen Brewing Beer Hall on 118th and Herman (19745 SW 118th Ave) in Tualatin. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Full event details are also online at www.tualatinbrewfest.com
