Broadway Rose Theatre Company presents Sh-Boom! Life Could Be A Dream, a doo-wopping, feel-good, musical revue filled with timeless chart stoppers. Preview performance is on Thursday, April 4, with opening night on Friday, April 5, and performances continuing through April 28. Evening performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Matinees are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays as well as Wednesday, April 10 and 24. Return to the days of yesteryear with nostalgic hits from the Golden Oldies, “Fools Fall In Love,” “Tears On My Pillow,” “Runaround Sue,” “Earth Angel,” “Stay,” and “Unchained Melody.” Meet Denny and the Dreamers, a fledgling doo-wop singing group hoping to realize their dreams of making it to the big time when trouble comes in the form of Eugene’s former sweetheart Lois. Denny falls in love, Eugene falls apart, and along comes handsome heartthrob Duke to set the whole situation spinning. Winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Best Musical Award, Sh-Boom! Life Could Be a Dream will leave you laughing, singing, and cheering— let’s hear it for the boys!

“The definition of a ‘Jukebox Musical’ is a show that features hit songs from a popular music group or genre–in this case, it’s the nostalgic sounds of doo-wop that make Sh-Boom! Life Could Be A Dream the colorful, retro, revue it is,” says director Dan Murphy. “Here at Broadway Rose, we’re known for our musical revues, especially ones with storylines that tie the music all together to tell a new narrative.”

Musical arrangements by Roger Bean, Michael Borth, Jon Newton, and Steve Parsons. Written and created by Roger Bean. The Broadway Rose production will be directed and choreographed by Dan Murphy, with musical direction by Kristi Stingle.
