The City of Tualatin’s Juanita Pohl Center (Tualatin’s Active Aging Center) has partnered with Washington County Disability, Aging and Veterans Services (DAVS) for the 2022-2023 Community Project for Veterans. This year’s Community Project theme is programs and projects that foster meaningful connection and belonging in Washington County’s diverse veteran community.

The Pohl Center, a gathering place for many veterans, will host a Billiard Tournament Series – one billiard tournament per month, January through May 2023, with a Grand Tournament in June 2023. The Center aims to continue to build new relationships and promote friendship through participation in the tournaments. The tournament series is 18 & older, FREE for all veterans, and a $3 entry fee per tournament for non-veterans (includes refreshments and prizes 1st through 3rd). Tournaments are scheduled on the third Friday of each month (January 20, February 17, March 17, April 21, May 19) from 1-5pm. Pre-registration is required for each tournament.

The Pohl Center invites all billiard players, near and far, to come out and play pool, test your skills, and enjoy a little friendly competition and camaraderie in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. This social tournament series is for the benefit and welfare of everyone, including veterans.

Interested participants can call the center at 503-691-3061 to register.
