National Library Week

April 19-25 is National Library Week, an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. This year’s theme is Library Joy – something we’re proud to say we observe every day.
From the smiles and songs in storytimes, the creative adventures in our Makerspace, the gathering of friends to hear music at our hearth, to the pleasure of finding the perfect book, we are with you as you experience the joy of our library.
Wendy Willis

Join us for a lively discussion with Wendy Willis—poet, essayist, and founding director of Oregon’s Kitchen Table. A self-proclaimed “democracy geek,” Wendy will explore why our founders risked everything and what their pledge of “Lives, Fortunes, and sacred Honor” means for us today. “To What Do We Pledge” is an Oregon Humanities Conversation Project program, held on Wednesday, April 15 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Community Room.
WindSync

Wind quintet WindSync brings their vibrant performance style and a repertoire spanning folk, classical, and contemporary works back to our library in a program for the whole family. With a three-pronged mission of artistry, education, and community-building, find out why WindSync is known as “a group of virtuosos who are also wonderful people, too.” Presented in partnership with Chamber Music Northwest. Wednesday, April 22 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Community Room.
