The City of Tualatin has many beautiful parks and trails to visit. If you were to walk, run, or bike from park to park around the entire city in one big loop, you would travel a distance of 20 miles!

This March, don’t let the rain keep you inside. Let’s get outside and celebrate our amazing outdoor spaces by completing the Outrun the Rain 20-mile virtual challenge.

Walk, run, or bike 20 miles between Mar. 1 and Mar. 31 to receive a limited edition Outrun the Rain die-cast medal, long sleeve Sport Tek T-shirt and beanie. Choose your location, whether on the treadmill, in your neighborhood, or a combination. Record your distances throughout and share your progress on the Outrun the Rain Facebook event page. Snap a picture while you are out and tag us at #outruntheraintualatin.

Travel your favorite route or explore a new area of Tualatin by following one of the park-to-park routes available on the Outrun the Rain webpage. Routes run between City of Tualatin parks and are out and back.

Proceeds for this event will go to the City of Tualatin Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program, which helps everyone enjoy the benefits of programs like summer camp, regardless of ability to pay.

Register by Mar. 15 by visiting the City of Tualatin website at www.tualatinoregon.gov/recreation/outrun-rain. Cost is $10 per person. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early!

Brought to you by your City of Tualatin Parks and Recreation Department as part of the Community Psyche Grant.
