A fundraiser to support Meals On Wheels People – Tualatin

By Amanda Ballard

Tualatin Campus is excited to announce the date for their second annual car show and barbecue. The event this year will be held on Saturday, July 29th from 11:30am to 3:30pm. It will include a barbecue, music, raffle, silent auction, and prizes. The event will be free and open to the public.

They would love to feature local classic and exotic cars and have begun accepting applications. If you have a car to display, please email Amanda to register: acballard@marquiscompanies.com.

Last year, the event showcased some very special and rare vehicles, including a Ford Model T from 1911 just a few cars down from a Lamborghini Gallardo. It attracted folks from all over the state and delighted the residents living on the Marquis campus. The event raised over $1,400 for our local Meals on Wheels People to support their vision that “No senior will go hungry or experience social isolation.” This year they hope to double that amount.

A big highlight of this year’s event will be the long anticipated opening of the new Marquis Community Center. The silent auction will take place inside, and everyone will have a chance to take a tour of the new space. The building will have a large event space, fitness center with exercise equipment and instructors, swimming pool, community living room, hot tub, coffee shop and wine bar. They want it to be a welcoming space for the whole Tualatin community.
