Will Jiggles be Demolished or Not?

Since the beginning of the discussions regarding the ambitious Nyberg Rivers Shopping Center, most people seem to believe that this project would transform the ugly, dilapidated K-Mart Shopping Center into an upscale retail jewel, offering a new and impressive gateway to TualatinJiggles

  1. I’m so glad this article was written. I agree strongly with the rest of Tualatin. It’s embarrassing to have a topless building at the corner of your exit off the freeway. I have been coming to Tualatin for several years before we moved here and this sign has been here for years that I can remember. I don’t understand why they can’t move their business to a better location. I mean do they get business? really? I’m just glad that the early stages of building Cabella’s has started. It’s nice to see but, a disappointment to see that Jiggles is still there. It would be nice to see new buildings go there comparable to the Best Buy shopping and eating area. Someone has got to move them out!!! The building is out dated, ugly. Thanks for writing the article.

  2. How difficult is it to have a representative from the city of Tualatin confirm if it will stay or go?

  3. Marty, it isn’t the City’s property, so they aren’t really the one’s who can confirm or deny it. In next week’s issue I’ll have some insights from CenterCal CEO Fred Bruning which might clear up the mystery to some degree, but to be honest, I’ll only believe it when I see it demolished.
